From fresh vegetables and herbs to premium meat and poultry, the majority of our ingredients are sourced from local farms and producers that stand out for their quality and sustainability. We maintain close relationships with our suppliers and take great care to be transparent about the origin of our products so that our guests can enjoy the best of the region.
- Dingdener Heather milk
We obtain the majority of our dairy products (milk, yoghurt, quark, cheese) from our immediate neighborhood. The Groß-Bölting family runs an organic farm in Dingden, 7 km away.
- Buffalo farm Kragemann from Barlo
We get our mozzarella and buffalo cheese from the Kragemann buffalo farm in Bocholt-Barlo, 30 km away. Around 100 water buffalo have been living here since 2004, and the farm also keeps endangered breeds of cattle.
- Regionale eggs from Wesel
We source our eggs from the farm Gerten, a family farm just 7 kilometers away from Voshövel.
- Organic fruit and vegetables at the breakfast buffet
Our guests can expect an abundance of fresh organic fruit and vegetables at the breakfast buffet - these come from selected farms that grow according to organic guidelines.
- Regional sausages
Regional sausages from the Caniels butcher's shop in Dinslaken, 20 kilometers away, are available for breakfast.
- Salmon trout from the Sauerland
We get our salmon trout for breakfast from the Kamp family from Engelskirchen. Michael and Guido Kamp breed salmon, lake, rainbow and brown trout on 6 hectares of land. They place particular emphasis on natural fish farming, species-appropriate feeding and traditional processing.
- Our own honey
Since spring 2023, the flower meadow at Voshövel has been home to several bee colonies from a beekeeper friend from Hamminkeln. Nestled between numerous flowers, forests and meadows, the busy bees fly back and forth and produce up to 60 kg of honey per year. The honey is harvested twice a year. Depending on availability, you will find this honey on the daily breakfast buffet.
- Coffee enjoyment at Voshövel
In cooperation with Coffee Arts from Rhede, we roast our own coffee from the Cerrado Miniero region in Brazil. The coffee is delivered in reusable containers so that we save on packaging waste. We are also paying more attention to transparent supply chains and fair payment.
- Farm chickens from the neighborhood
From the Willing poultry farm in Dingden. The chickens are kept in small groups in the farm's spacious enclosures and are fed high-quality grain feed.
- Organic Microgreens from Düsseldorf
Fresh seedlings from farmer Jörn. Microgreens are small but powerful plants that are bursting with flavor and nutrients. Organic & peat-free soil and organic seeds are used for cultivation.
- Organic dishes in our restaurant
We currently offer 10 organic dishes in our Wirtschaft and will continue to expand our range. Our aim is to offer a unique culinary experience that promotes both well-being and environmental protection.
