Confideum
"Yes!" - sayer welcome!
Our small chapel made of natural stone and wood is located in a secluded corner of the park-like hotel garden - that is the Confideum, the wedding location at Voshövel. In the light-flooded architecture, up to 50 guests will find a stylish and at the same time personal setting for weddings, celebrations, vernissages or honors. The name was chosen with care: Confideum is derived from the Latin word confidere. It's called trust.
Wood, natural stone, light: wedding location on the Lower Rhine
Simple elegance and stylish romance combine in the small chapel to form a harmonious whole. The glazed roof elements provide a special light ambience. The entrance front, which is also generously glazed, not only brings a lot of light into the room, it can be opened almost completely. Larger groups can also follow the ceremony on the forecourt - via video or thanks to the built-in external loudspeaker.
A work of art for eternity
Something unique, even a piece of eternity, can also be found in the open space in front of the chapel: a wedding sculpture, created by the renowned metal artist Ulrich Kuhlmann. Two interlocking rings made of Corten steel - like a lying figure eight - symbolize an eternal bond. Couples can attach an engraved brass ring to the sculpture. With the sign of their love, they themselves become part of an eternal work of art.
Time to get married?
The Confideum Schermbeck was created in 2008 and is located away from the event rooms on the Skulpturenweg, embedded in the large garden of the country hotel. Due to its special charisma, the small chapel is also suitable as a location for exhibitions, vernissages and meditations. Or would you like to use the wedding location for a free wedding ceremony?
Your reservation
Since we want to give our bridal couples exclusivity, on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays we can only have weddings in connection with a celebration in our premises. The Confideum can be reserved Monday to Thursday without booking an additional room. The registrars conduct weddings between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. every day.
